Cooking Class Terms & Conditions

I. SAFETY

ZeeTheCook, L.L.C.’s classes are “hands on” and require participants to use cooking equipment and utensils in the kitchen. Due to the nature of the classes, participants will be working with dangerous items such as sharp knives, sharp utensils, and will be in close proximately to large kitchen equipment and hot items. Some classes may involve the handling of raw food items. We are strongly dedicated to ensuring the safety of all of our participants and ask that you use caution, notify us of any issues, and maintain safety at all times. PARTICIPANT AGREES BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT TO ACT TO RELEASE ZeeTheCook, L.L.C.., IT’S OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR INJURIES AND/OR DAMAGES TO ONE’S PERSON OR PROPERTY INCURRED IN CONNECTION WITH THE COOKING CLASS.

III. ATTIRE

Class participants are required to wear close toed shoes. It is recommended that shoes also be rubber soled and/or non-slip. Long hair must be tied back. Participant may not wear obstructive or loose jewelry, including but not limited to, dangling earrings, bracelets, and/or necklaces. Fingernail polish and artificial fingernails may cause dangerous conditions for the participant; hair clips or bands for long hair should be worn. If the participant wears prohibited products, they are doing so at their own risk.

II. PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES.

Participants are expected to show respect for others, follow directions from teachers and staff, and abide by all school rules. Failure to conform to these rules may result in Participant’s dismissal from classes with no refund. Parents are to pick up their children when class ends. There is a 30 minute grace period during which parents are not charged a late pick up fee. After 30 minutes, parents will be charged $5.00 for every 15 minutes they are late.

IV. HYGIENE/HAND WASHING

Proper hand washing with soap and warm water is required after using the bathroom, sneezing, coughing, and/or handling raw food products. Proper sanitation will be demonstrated during each class!

V. ALLERGIES AND DIETARY RESTRICTIONS

It is the participant’s responsibility to inform ZeeTheCook, L.L.C., of any allergies or dietary restrictions that participant may have. Information regarding allegies or dietary restrictions must be reported on the ZeeTheCook, L.L.C. registration form. In the event that Participant learns of a new medical condition, Participant must report it to a ZeeTheCook, L.L.C. official.

VI. SCHEDULE

ZeeTheCook, L.L.C., reserves the right to cancel classes at any time and/or for any reason, and provide a full refund if class minimum requirements are not met.

VII. PAYMENT, RECHEDULING AND CANCELLATION

Payment is due in full at the time of registration. Food Costs, recipes, and culinary instruction are included in the payment. ZeeTheCook L.L.C, has the right to substitute food items based on availability. Reservations are taken on a first come, first serve basis. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR MISSED CLASSES. Participant must give 24 hour notice to reschedule a class. Participant may cancel or reschedule a class if they provide ZeeTheCook, L.L.C., with proper notice (24 Hours).

VIII. PARTICIPANT WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY

All participants must review, sign and date the attached participant waiver & release of liability agreement.

IX. MEDICAL CONSENT

BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT, PARTICIPANT GIVES ZeeTheCook, L.L.C. PERMISSION FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT TO BE ADMINSTERED BY A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY. PARTICIPANT ALSO AUTHORIZES THE STAFF OF ZeeTheCook, L.L.C.. TO MAKE REASONABLE EFFORTS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE PARTICIPANT IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY.As a parent or guardian, if a serious illness/injury develops, you will be notified. Participants understand and agree that any accident insurance in effect, if provided, for the event does not cover preexisting conditions or self-inflicted injuries or any injuries caused by participant’s own negligence or misuse of any equipment or products.

X. PHOTOGRAPHS AND FILMS

As a method of training, educational tutorials, or promotional material (electronic or printed), and for the purposes of ZeeTheCook L.L.C.’s website, Instagram, Facebook or other related social media or promotional pages, I hereby grant ZeeTheCook L.L.C. all rights and consent to use, copy, display, distribute, copyright, re-use, publish or re-publish, all photographs/video of myself or my child taken during the classes, without restriction to duration and without compensation. If you would not like to be videotaped or photographed for any reason, you must notify a ZeeTheCook, L.L.C. official at the time of registration.

XI. RECIPES

All recipes remain the property of ZeeTheCook L.L.C. The dissemination of recipes, the property of ZeeTheCook L.L.C., is not allowed without the prior written consent of ZeeTheCook L.L.C. These recipes shall not be used for copying, reproducing or any commercial use. Such unauthorized dissemination, by whatsoever means, may lead to litigation/court proceedings.

XII. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement shall be controlled by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan.

XIII. SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS

Subject to the restrictions set forth herein, this Agreement shall inure to the benefit of and be binding upon the heirs, personal representatives, successors and assigns of the parties.
