ZeeTheCook would like to help families in our community by providing more occassions to spend quality time together. Making time for family can be extremely challenging when you’re spending so much time trying to support them. Whether it’s taking care of the duties at home to ensure a healthy and clean environment, working long hours, or some combination of the two, you’re doing so much for your family but you can’t always spend that quality time together. That’s why at ZeeTheCook we wanted to make this easier by providing activities to help families get together to work as a team while building memories to last a lifetime.

 

In December 2016, ZeeTheCook hosted our very first family-centered team-building event at Downtown Dearborn’s La Fork! Children arrived with their moms and dads, aunts and uncles, or grandmas and grandpas and made delicious holiday crepes and engaged in a challenging activity! Each team was provided a set of instructions and a timer was set! We wanted to challenge our families to assign a leader for each group and to assign a role for each member so each family could work together cohesivly while they set forth in trying to win first prize!

 

After plenty of laughter, excitement, (and maybe a few tears!), each family was able to work together to complete their activity of building 3D gingerbread foam houses. We concluded with a final team winner at each of our 3 family sessions and a wonderful time was had by all.

 

We would like to thank the La Fork! team in assisting us and providing us the space we needed to achieve our shared goals within the community. La Fork’s crepe recipe is amazing, and their poutines even more so! Don’t forget to check them out and I suggest you try my favorite: the “All American Poutine”
